How Math is Currently Being Taught in Iowa Schools

I wanted to share an example of a parent “cheat sheet” that teaches parents how to help their elementary-aged student how to do math using the techniques encouraged by the Common Core Math Standards.  This particular example comes from an elementary school in the Metro Atlanta area.  This is for a 1st or 2nd grade class I believe.  Since Iowa has embraced the Common Core Math standards this type of math should be in a classroom near you already.  Should parents need a cheat sheet to do elementary-level math?
