“Only My Mom and My Doctor Need to Know My Weight”

I’m so proud of Ireland Hobert Hoch, a 13-year-old at Southeast Polk Jr. High School who refused to be weighed in front of her P.E. class.  I’m proud that she stood up for her right to privacy, and I hope it emboldens other students to do the same and do it as respectfully as she did.  She said, “only my mom and my doctor need to know my weight.”
